It's been a warm, dry spring, so Mark and I got our first trip to Vedauwoo of 2009 about a month earlier than usual!

Mark and I sneak off to the desert for a weekend of sunny limestone pocket-pulling!!

Mark and I return to North Table Mountain to redeem ourselves, with the help of friends Doug, Liz and Sean!

Our first outdoor climbing trip in months has mixed results. Beautiful weather, warm rocks and our choice of climbs. But I end up taking more pictures than climbing because of our desperate out-of-shape-ness.

Colorado is not such a bad place. Especially when you're climbing in Tshirts on the first day of November.

For our 5 year anniversary, Mark and I spent the weekend climbing at Red Rocks Canyon, and hiking Cheyenne Canyon in Colorado Springs.

The heavens aligned for one brief weekend, and Mark and I were able to drive 4 hours south to New Mexico, and spend the weekend camping and climbing with Dylan and Ann.

Mark and I spent a cloudy, cool, fall day pinching pebbles at the Monastery outside of Estes Park. The sky cleared on our last climb, and I got some nice shots of the mountains on our hike out.

We had one more day in our long weekend, so we thought it best to spend it on the rock. The rivers were high and the clouds were heavy, but we still got in some great climbing.

After a summer of climbing in the high country, it was really wonderful to spend a weekend on the windswept rocks of Vedauwoo.

We hiked, we looked, we turned around. Some climbs are best left for later.

Good weather and a long break from climbing lead Mark and I to finally finish out long fun climb up the Pear formation on Lumpy Ridge.

Even after spending years of weekends at Vedauwoo, there are still new places to explore. On this trip, we checked out the Reynold's Hill formation for the first time, and found new camping in the northeast corner of the forest.

Mark and I learned a few key things on this fun, long climb. 1: The rope we were climbing on was only 50m long and 2: Never give Mark the topo.

The wind was howling when we pulled into the parking area at Vedauwoo. We decided it was a good day to check out the south east face of the Holdout!

This long, hard climb has been on our 'To-Do' list for quite some time. On this Saturday we got up early, hiked out, and climbed one of the longest, hardest, most beautiful climbs we have done in years.

After a grand debate, we decided to spend the long weekend at Vedauwoo, hoping to relive some of the great days of last summer. Unfortunately, the weather was less than perfect, but we all had a great weekend.

The weather finally broke. Doug and Liz joined Mark and I on a perfect weekend in Vedauwoo to kick off the summer.

Our first training exercise for climbing the Grand was to hike 4 miles, climb 7 pitches and hike 3 more miles back to the car in an afternoon. It hurt, but we did it!

Sean and Dylan come out for a sunny day of cragging with us. The weather was beautiful, the climbs were hard, and the location was perfect.

Mark and I braved bitter cold winds and snow to try and get in a climb or two at Lumpy ridge. We did the first two pitches of a 5.7 on the Pear before the real snow moved in.

We head down to the warm, sunny limestone at Shelf Road again for a weekend of sport climbing. This time, Adam and Jackie came a long with us to check out the huge, bolted, rock playground.

It's rather surprising that Mark and I have never checked out this large rock halfway up the Big Thompson Canyon. On this early spring day, we hiked out to check out some exciting slabs and roofs at this very interesting crag.

We joined every trad climber in the greater Boulder area for a day of screaming, throwing ropes and stepping all over each other in Eldorado Canyon.

Mark and I took advantage of a really warm, beautiful Saturday in the mountains northwest of Colorado Springs. The South Platte region offered some fantastic crack climbing on a beautiful formation for a great day.
