We hadn't been back to the midwest during the summer in years. This year for our vacation, Mark and I drove the new Prius east, and spent a great week with the fam at home in St. Louis.

Sun 29 Jun 2008 08:52:38 AM MDTOn the drive back home, Mark and I stayed at a beautiful state park in Kansas on Saturday night, and enjoyed beautiful views of the reservoir from our campsite on the shore of the lake.

We were able to watch an informal practice for Amy's awesome Taiko group. These drummer's kick supreme arse!
The Fourth of July!
We rode our bikes down to Kirkwood park and spent the evening watching a fantastic fireworks show!
